Come join us for our December monthly in-person holiday event!
Enjoy checking out the brand-new digs for Helios while we enjoy holiday fun at our annual end-of-year party! Please say hello and thank you to Kristen Shafer of Helios for allowing AMG to use this location for our holiday gathering.
We will have a Vitrigraph Murrini Stringer demonstration, and all will be able to bring home some luscious threads of handmade glass murrini! Come early (11am) if you want to help get the murrini pots ready to go.
We are creating a gorgeous new fused glass mosaic pillar at the studio. Join in the community fun to put it together! (Plus check out all the fun classes at Helios: https://www.heliosglass.com)
Food: AMG will provide:
- Mediterranean platter
- Turkey roll ups
- Fruit Plate
- Hummus
- Pimento cheese/hummus and crackers
- Guacamole and tortilla chips
- What can you bring? beverages (non-alcoholic or alcoholic), appetizers, or desserts to share
- Gluten free options are always welcomed
Tesserae exchange instructions:
We will have a Tesserae Exchange again this year at our holiday party. If you want to participate, spend some time thinking about the materials you enjoy working with, and select fun items you want to share with some lucky AMG member.
Please bring a gift you would be very happy to receive. Maybe imagine that you want everyone to “oooooh and aaaaah when your contribution is opened. The goal is to share the good stuff (not cast offs).
You will bring approximately 2 cups of assorted tesserae to exchange. How you package the material is up to you. See pic below for an example of some packages ready for exchange – the table was covered with packages by the time the fun began. If all participants put together their selection while in the holiday spirit – we will have a great time, and everyone will leave with inspiration for a new mosaic, and a smile.
