Some of the many amazing activities we have accomplished with our members:


Recent

 

2017: Exhibit-“Mosaica: Texture and Reflection,” a month-long show of 80 works by AMG members held at Gallery at the J, Dell Jewish Community Center, Austin, TX.

 

2017: Exhibit-“ Texture and Reflection,” a month-long show at the Georgetown Public Library, Georgetown, TX.

 

2017:  Exhibit: “Andamento” a month-long show at Old Bakery and Emporium, a registered national landmark and art gallery in Austin, TX.

 

2015: Exhibit-“Mosaica: A Modern Twist on an Ancient Tradition,” two-month show at Gallery at the J, Dell Jewish Community Center, Austin, TX.

 

2014: Mural--AMG was commissioned to design, organize and execute the annual Mosaic Marathon for the 2014 SAMA Summit held in Houston TX. The 3-panel mural, “Windows to our Memories” is located at Smither Park in Houston.

 

2013: Mural-AMG created a mosaic memorial honoring the 25th year of the Woody Pet Therapy Program at Dell Children’s Medical Center, Austin. The 26-foot-long wall is located in the Center’s Healing Garden, Austin, TX.  Seventy artists created and installed 275 panels of original art.

 

2011: Conference-AMG hosted the American Mosaic Summit for the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) held in Austin. AMG planned and ran the conference for about 400 international mosaic artist attendees, and led the Society’s annual Mosaic Marathon in the creation of a large-scale mural. The mural was donated to the non-profit PeopleFund dedicated to creating economic opportunities for underserved people in Texas.

 

2011: Exhibit— AMG displayed member works for “Art at the Airport,” a six-week exhibition at Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

2009-to date: Display Display-AMG has dedicated window space for members to sell mosaics (commission-free) at Kruger’s Diamond Jewelers (722 Congress Avenue, Austin).  Displays are rotated every 2 months, giving members the opportunity to market their work throughout the year.
