1. General Updates & Reflections

We’ll share updates and reflections on upcoming opportunities in the mosaic community, including:

• The Mosaic Workshop: Mosaic Fest, October 24-31, 2026

• SAMA Mosaic Conference: March 3–7, 2027, in Dallas, Texas

2. Artist Presentation: Susan Swaim

Finding Inspiration in San Miguel de Allende: Chapel of Jimmy Ray

Step into the vibrant, magical world of Anado McLaughlin and Richard Schultz at the extraordinary Chapel of Jimmy Ray, located just outside San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Susan Swaim will share a firsthand look at this remarkable four-acre property, where colorful, eclectic art transforms every corner into a visual adventure. Susan was fortunate to join workshop crews led by Julie Richey and Ana Foncerada to install mosaics at the property in both 2017 and 2020.

More than a chapel, this one-of-a-kind destination is an expansive canvas of imagination, creativity, and artistic expression. Join Susan as she takes us inside this fascinating home and sanctuary and shares the inspiration found in this truly unique mosaic marvel.

Explore the Chapel of Jimmy Ray website for a preview of this extraordinary place.

3. Scholarship Presentation

Susanne Cooper will share a presentation about what she learned from her scholarship and its role in supporting her artistic growth and learning.

Please note: Alexis Bierman’s presentation has been postponed to a future meeting. We’ll share details when a new date is scheduled.

We look forward to connecting, sharing ideas, and celebrating the creativity and talent within our AMG community. We hope you’ll join us!
